The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) on Thursday announced a reshuffle of portfolios among its four deputy governors, redistributing oversight of its 32 departments.Shirish Chandra Murmu, who assumed charge as deputy governor following the retirement of M Rajeshwar Rao, has been assigned key divisions, including the departments of communication, government and bank accounts, regulation, and enforcement, the RBI said in a statement, PTI reported.The other three deputy governors are T Rabi Sankar, Swaminathan Janakiraman, and Poonam Gupta.Gupta will oversee the Monetary Policy Department along with five other divisions, including the departments of economic and policy research and financial stability.Sankar has been entrusted with 12 departments, including currency management, information technology, payment and settlement systems, fintech, and foreign exchange.According to the RBI statement, Janakiraman will supervise 10 departments, including those of supervision, financial inclusion and development, and inspection.
