Kinetic Watts & Volts, the EV arm of Kinetic Engineering, has re-entered the Indian market with the launch of its new electric scooter, the DX EV. Inspired by the iconic Kinetic Honda DX, the scooter gets a modern makeover and comes in two variants: DX and DX+, priced at Rs 1.12 lakh and Rs 1.18 lakh, ex-showroom, respectively. Bookings are now open on the brand’s official website for Rs 1,000, with deliveries starting September 2025. The first batch is limited to 35,000 units. Colour options include Red, Blue, White, Silver, and Black for the DX+, while the DX is offered in Silver and Black. Here’s a look at what’s on offer.

Kinetic DX electric scooter: All you need to know

The Kinetic DX EV is powered by a 2.6 kWh LFP battery, offering a claimed IDC range of 116 km on the DX+ and 102 km on the standard DX. The battery is rated for up to 3,500 charge cycles and is paired with a 4.8 kW hub-mounted BLDC motor. While the DX has a top speed of 80 kmph, the DX+ goes up to 90 kmph. It also gets three riding modes: Range, Power, and Turbo, along with practical features like reverse assist and hill hold. Adding to its convenience is a large 37-litre underseat storage.

Both variants come equipped with features like cruise control, telescopic front and adjustable rear suspension, a 220mm front disc brake with CBS, and convenient touches such as the Kinetic Assist switch and Easy Flip pillion footrest. Other highlights include Bluetooth music, voice navigation, and a keyless experience enabled by a built-in speaker and a large 8.8-inch digital display.The higher-spec DX+ adds more tech to the mix, including a patented Easy Charge retractable cable and voice alerts through the My Kiney Companion system. It also offers connected features via the Kinetic app, such as real-time tracking, geofencing, ride analytics, and intruder alerts.
