Directed by Tom Harper, the film continues the story of the Shelby family, now set in 1940s Birmingham. Alongside Murphy and Keoghan, the ensemble cast includes Rebecca Ferguson, Tim Roth, Sophie Rundle, Stephen Graham and Jay Lycurgo. The film with a runtime of 112 minutes, will also feature a returning cast of the series, including Ned Dennehy, Packy Lee and Ian Peck. The Netflix Original marks the final chapter following the six-season run, which came to a close in 2022. According to writer Steven Knight, the film will mark “a very fitting way to end this part of the Peaky story.” The film is also touted to be the saga’s most ‘explosive’ chapter yet, which will see the Peaky Blinders “at war.”
