Mohit Suri’s ‘Saiyaara’ has officially joined the Rs 200 crore club, and done so in record time. The romantic drama, which marks the debut of Ahaan Panday and Aneet Padda, has achieved a phenomenal Rs 217.25 crore India net collection in just nine days, according to early estimates from Sacnilk. The film’s remarkable performance has not only surpassed industry expectations but is now on track to challenge the coveted Rs 300 crore mark.
Box Office Report
On its second Saturday, Saiyaara earned an estimated Rs 26.5 crore, witnessing a nearly 50% jump from its second Friday collection of Rs 18 crore. Interestingly, the Saturday total matches its first Saturday collection, proving that the film is keeping up its momentum at the box office. With these latest figures, ‘Saiyaara’ has garnered Rs 44.5 crore in just two days of its second weekend alone.
Record-Breaking Run
In its first week, the film collected Rs 172.75 crore, and with strong word-of-mouth, it has seen an impressive growth at the box office. What was once predicted to close at a Rs 200 crore lifetime total has now evolved into a serious contender for the Rs 300 crore club, a feat only Vicky Kaushal’s ‘Chhaava’ has achieved so far in 2025.‘Saiyaara’ has now officially overtaken Akshay Kumar‘s ‘Housefull 5’ to become the second highest-grossing film of the year, only behind ‘Chhaava’, which has a staggering Rs 601 crore collection.
Increased Screen Count
The film’s impressive growth at the ticket windows is believed to be credited to the recent addition in screen count. According to film critic Taran Adarsh, the film originally released on 2,225 screens, but due to overwhelming demand, the number has been increased to 3,650 screens across India. This, in turn, is expected to boost box office collections. Directed by Mohit Suri, ‘Saiyaara’ is also set to become one of the most profitable films of all time at the Bollywood box office. The movie was reportedly made on a budget of around Rs 40-50 crore and is already on its way to the Rs 250 crore mark at the ticket windows.
