AHMEDABAD: A DJ party at a farmhouse in Ahmedabad’s Shilaj locality turned into a raid, with undercover officers from Bopal police finding liquor and hookahs – both prohibited in Gujarat – being openly served. By Saturday morning, 20 people, including 13 foreign students, two bootleggers and owners of the farmhouse, were arrested. “…Thirteen African students and two others were found to have consumed liquor. No drug was found on the premises. The hookahs have been sent to FSL to check for presence of drugs,” said Om Prakash Jat, SP (Ahmedabad rural). Police seized 51 bottles of Indian-made foreign liquor and 15 hookahs.
